Athens 5-Day Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Acropolis
Arrival at Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport. You can reach the city center by taxi, bus (X95), or metro (Line 3 - Blue Line).

Visit the iconic Acropolis and its main attractions such as the Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Erechtheion, and the Temple of Athena Nike. Don’t forget to explore the Acropolis Museum. (Admission fee required for both sites)
Lunch at Melina, a family-owned taverna offering traditional Greek dishes near the Acropolis.
In the evening, stroll around Plaka neighborhood and enjoy dinner at O Thanasis, famous for its souvlaki.
Day 2: Ancient Agora & Museums
Visit the Ancient Agora with its temples, Stoa of Attalos, and the Temple of Hephaestus. Also, explore the Roman Agora, the Tower of the Winds, and Hadrian’s Arch.
For lunch, head to Klimataria Tou Areos for traditional Greek dishes.

Stop by Anavyssos, a picturesque fishing village for lunch.
Return to Athens in the late afternoon, and enjoy your last evening in town. Dine at A for Athens – a contemporary restaurant with an exceptional menu.
Day 4: Modern Athens & Monastiraki
Discover modern Athens by visiting the National Garden, Zappeion Mansion, and the Panathenaic Stadium. (Admission fee for stadium tour)
Explore the bustling Monastiraki Flea Market and the nearby Museum of the Roman Agora. Lunch at a local ouzeri – such as To Ouzeri tou Psaras or Kuzina.
In the afternoon, visit the Acropolis Museum’s Anafiotica, an architectural enclave with houses in the Cycladic style.
Spend your evening in the hip Gazi neighborhood. Dine at Brettos, known for its meze and cocktails, or try Papadaki for some vegan Greek food.
Day 5: Departure
Have a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before checking out. Spend the morning exploring any remaining sights you may have missed, shopping for souvenirs, or simply soaking up the Athenian atmosphere.
Depending on your flight schedule, head to Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport. If you have time, grab a quick bite at Athens Airport Taverna before your departure.
