Argentina 5-Day Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Buenos Aires (City Tour & Tango Show)
- Arrival at Ezeiza International Airport (minimum visa requirement: Tourist Visa - Check with your local Argentine embassy)
- Transfer to city center (taxis or remises are available, or pre-book a private transfer)
- Visit the iconic Puerto Madero neighborhood and La Boca district
- Explore the colorful Caminito Street in La Boca
- Stop by the modernized Retiro area and check out the Obelisk
- In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tango show at San Telmo or Tango Porteño in La Boca
- Overnight stay in Buenos Aires
Day 2: Iguazu Falls (Flight from Buenos Aires & Exploring)
- Early morning flight to Puerto Iguazú (Iguazu International Airport)
- Transfer to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls (taxis or pre-arranged shuttle service)
- Visit the Devil’s Throat, Upper Circuits, and Lower Circuits within Iguazu National Park
- Optionally take a boat tour to get up close with the falls
- Overnight stay in Puerto Iguazú
Day 3: Iguazu Falls (Brazilian Side & Return to Buenos Aires)
- Early morning visit to the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls (taxis or pre-arranged shuttle service)
- Spend the day exploring the Brazilian National Park and witnessing more stunning views of the falls
- In the evening, return to Puerto Iguazú and fly back to Buenos Aires
- Overnight stay in Buenos Aires
Day 4: Mendoza (Wine Tasting & Leisure Time)
- Early morning flight to Mendoza (El Plumerillo International Airport)
- Transfer to a vineyard for wine tasting (pre-arranged tours or taxi rides available)
- Visit the city center and check out the Plaza Independencia and the modern Casa de la Moneda
- Spend the afternoon relaxing at one of Mendoza’s numerous parks or wine bars
- Overnight stay in Mendoza
Day 5: Departure from Buenos Aires
- Return to El Plumerillo International Airport for your onward flight (taxis or remises are available)
Things to Know:
- Argentine Peso is the official currency, and credit cards are widely accepted in major cities.
- Spanish is the primary language spoken in Argentina, but English is understood in most tourist areas.
- Tipping is customary; around 10% in restaurants and a few pesos for taxi drivers.
- Be sure to try local dishes such as Empanadas, Asado (grilled meat), and Provoleta (cheese) while you’re there!
