Antalya 3 Day Itinerary

Day 1: Explore Historical Antalya

  • Morning: Start your day with a hearty Turkish breakfast at your hotel. Check out the nearby Kaleiçi (Old Town) for a traditional start.

  • 9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Visit the Hadrian’s Gate, an impressive triple-arched monument dedicated to the Roman Emperor Hadrian, marking the old city walls’ entry point.

  • 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Head to Kaleiçi Marina for lunch. Enjoy a variety of seafood dishes at Sark Sarı Salt Bistro or try Turkish meze and kebabs at Tarantino Restaurant.

  • 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Discover the ancient HİSARLAR (Kale) castle, a fortification complex with multiple historical layers. Don’t miss the Byzantine Church of Saint Peter.

  • 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm: Relax at Mermerli Beach, one of Antalya’s most popular beaches, perfect for watching the sunset.

  • 7:30 pm onwards: Dine at Güllüoğlu (Antalya branch) for delicious traditional Turkish ice cream and sweets or explore the vibrant nightlife in Kaleiçi.

Day 2: Discover Perge & Aspendos

  • Morning: Have breakfast at your hotel, then depart for the ancient cities of Perge and Aspendos. Rent a car or book a guided tour (recommended).

  • 10:00 am - 12:30 pm: Explore the ancient city of Perge, featuring Roman, Byzantine, and Seljuk structures, such as the Agora, Hellenistic Gate, Nymphaeum, and the Roman Bath.

  • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Lunch at a nearby restaurant. Try Antalya Köşkesi in Aksu or Çiğdem Restaurant near Perge.

  • 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Continue to the well-preserved Roman Theater of Aspendos. Wander through the ruins and learn about its history from your guide.

  • 6:00 pm onwards: Return to Antalya, have dinner at Antalya Balıkçılar İskelesi for fresh seafood or Çınar Tekke Kebap Salonu for delicious kebabs.

Day 3: Duden Waterfalls & Phaselis

  • Morning: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then head to the Lower Düden Waterfall. Take a boat tour near the waterfall or simply admire the scenic view.

  • 10:00 am - 12:30 pm: Drive to the ancient city of Phaselis, situated between Kaş and Kemer. Explore the ruins, swim in the crystal-clear waters, and relax on the beautiful beaches.

  • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Have lunch at one of the seafront restaurants in Phaselis or nearby Kaş. Try Büyük Limon for delicious Mediterranean dishes.

  • 3:00 pm onwards: Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Kaş, known for its vibrant atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and diving opportunities. Return to Antalya in the evening.

Other Tips & Information:

  • Antalya’s public transportation system is limited; renting a car or using a taxi is recommended.

  • Turkey uses Turkish Lira (TRY) as its official currency. Exchange money beforehand or use ATMs, which are widely available in the city.

  • Dress modestly when visiting religious sites and avoid shorts and sleeveless tops.

  • Be prepared for mosquitoes during summer evenings; bring insect repellent.
